Summer is here today...

so this morning I went to the farmers' market and bought a double petunia and a filipendula, which I think is called meadowsweet in europe and queen of the forest here...they go with the asarina, red dragon, which I bought last saturday...what can I say? It's that time of the year again...
I also finished the beading on Primavera and completely finished the pin/pendant I've been working on this week.
Today was graduation day for our high school seniors, so around 10 pm all the sirens sang around town....police and fire department mostly, I think. I hear them every year but haven't actually seen them....must be great fun for the kids though!

I love your new pieces! Just beautiful.
And the word "filipendula". I'll be whispering that to myself all day! Marvelous.
Happy Sunday!

The plants are beautiful, but Primavera says it all for Spring! You've outdone yourself on this one, my friend. Love the pin, of course, too.

Do you think Primavera is your best ever? It is gorgeous! Pastel and delicate yet strong.

I buy way too many plants each year, but I am obsessed! Pretty soon I'll have so many around the pond, there won't be room for a weed! Its been hard here to work out there. The weather on the weekends have been rainy. I'm beat after work so its hard to go out. But I have determined that I MUST work outside at least a short time each night or I won't be able to keep up.

Have a great day, Bobbi. Hope you have sun today.

Your Primavera is stunning. So evocative of new beginnings.

thanks, pamela...it's a great word to say out loud too!

thank you, arline...

it's one of my largest in a while, carol...and I think it conveys what I was going for...but I always think the next one will be the best, lol!
(yes, we've still got a lot of work to do in the garden, especially as we'd like to eventually have nothing but beds and paths (no grass), so we can still "justify" new plants...;)

thank you, pat...I'm so glad it conveys something of what I was trying to "say"...

The flowers from the farmers market are lovely...what a treat. I haven't chosen anything yet this year...hopefully soon since the sun/summer seems official!

The hand pin is lovely...love the face and, again, the colors. Primavera....OMG, she is beautiful...she's like a flower sprout...new beginnings indeed! She is awesome!!! XOX
