Ends and Beginnings

I finished my june bead journal today and framed it...the bear track reminds me to stay strong and focused and the birds to take it easy and just let the wind lift me...and to soar freely. Hearts, as almost always to help me remember the love I have for all the family and friends who are with me whether they're "here" or not.

I'm also going to be starting the summer piece to go along with primavera, (happy solstice!) and will be changing my phone from qwest to charter, which is my ISP. Qwest just kept charging too much for minimal service and charter said we can keep our old phone number, so it was a simple decision to make. I'll also be speeding up my internet connection, not that I was unhappy with my original speed, but I'm curious to see if this improves my netflix service.

Saw the sun briefly earlier this morning and hope it comes back this afternoon in time for a meet with my best buds here at the coast.

A new header for the solstice, hope you're all having a lovely one and if you're not, I hope you've got shelter anyway!

hiya bobbi! i just read your little comment about spammers. i think i have word verification on mine...i'll have to check because i get spammers ALL the freakin' time. anyways.

i looked at your hand before i read your post and what you said is exactly what i got from it. strength from the bear paw, freedom from the birds and love from the hearts. i think you used great visuals in this and it turned out great! i hope you are feeling good. thank you for coming by my blog, too, and giving me words of encouragement. xx

I look forward to seeing your finished project each month. They never disappoint, and this one is perhaps my favorite so far!

Perfect symbolism in this piece. I often think it would be euphoric to have the ability to soar like a hawk. Be strong, like the bear and defend with just a whack! And, BTW, you don't have enough room for all the hearts to fit in this piece!!

Another fine piece. Your earlier statement that this piece was not speaking to you obviously went away and it spoke volumes. Wonderful symbolism. I was inspired by the way you frame your pieces and I framed my last piece in a similar way, so thanks. Wish I could run on down to Newport to view that show.

hi! I love the pay print in the center! Your pieces are wonderful!! I'm so glad I ran across the journal. Such a wonderful collection of artists :) This must be so much fun to be a part of each month :)

Oh boy, I love the paw print. We have black bears in our very own neighborhood so bears are much on my mind (especially when I walk up the hill). Just looking at them shows the power they have -- translate that power to yourself and add in all the love that is flowing your way and you can move mountains (or at least tackle the phone companies *smile*)!!

Ditto the first comment (Lisa Criswell) and I'd have to add that your gentle, tranquil colors remind me of being held and supported. Beautiful piece, this one, Bobbi. I'm happy you had a SUMMER day today!
