New Fabric

I rarely (like twice) ever buy fat quarters that are pre-bundled in combinations that are supposed to go together, but I did this week and I had bought a set of Asian inspired fabrics a couple of years ago and hadn't even untied the bundle yet!
So I did some ironing tonight...I had to stay up and wait for a phone call and it kept me awake anyway...so here are my newest fabric quarters...I'm about ready to make up a few more 4x4 squares for the last of the basho pieces and have been thinking that asian fabric might be fun...on the other hand it's been mostly batiks so far so I can't get too wild.

lovely - i am constantly seduced by fat quarters, but I am resisting them at the moment while I use what I have

These are SO lovely. What gorgeous colors, BB! I have an assortment of batiks stored away - I'm waiting for the nerve to try working with fabric - something I've never done before.

Betcha one of those Asian fabrics calls your name loud enough to make it into a Basho piece!

The very moment I can, I plan to go to our Quilter's Paradise shop and buy all the fat quarters I can afford. I love batiks and want lots to start making doll bodies to sell at our LBS. These are gorgeous, Bobbi.

hi paula...I'm trying to do that with beads, and mostly succeeding, but every now and then one comes along that I just can't resist, lol!
lj! check out one of robin's books! She makes it so easy and I'm guessing you will get hooked quickly, quickly!
hi arline...our quilt group has their show in july or august and I'm definitely planning on going as we have vendors from out of the area. Our local shop has a wonderful selection of batiks, but it's always fun to see some new ones!
hi jackie...you must have a good stash for your art dolls...I especially liked the hand prints you used on "my" dotee doll!

I love batiks but I adore the asian fabric too! They would look beautiful on the basho pieces Bobbi! I would audition these and see if any blend nicely with the batiks you have used! I bet you find a few that will! ;-)
