TIF Done
I whipstitched some mocha colored rattail onto the edge of the "window" with some hand-dyed cotton thread...and my homage to Georgia O'Keeffe is finished.
And having sat with the January bead journal piece for several days, I've about decided it is done...anything I add at this point would be too much, I'm a thinkin'.....

Looks nice and I'm jealous. I'm trying really hard not to do something new till I catch up with the BJP, finish this month's challenge, a rosary for a niece (now that all her sibs have contributed their choice of beads) and a few other behinder projects! Enjoy yourself.
Perfect finishing touches to an already wonderful piece! Bet you are one of the first ones done with this month's project, too.

hi freebird...yeah, I have to finish the bjp before I get to play with the beadwork...sometimes it's hard to be disciplined, for sure!
There are a few others done already, kathy...but lots more to come and most of them seem to be wonderful embroiderers and quilters...I'm really looking forward to seeing them all posted on the flickr site!
Wow. You are workin fast! I am so sloooowww... LOL.
ho, ho, ho...mz speed demon herself!
(I think we've got a case of pot calling kettle black, here!)
Rat tail cord! Of course! That's probably what I've been trying to come up with to finish some small pieces I've done that still have raw edges. Thanks Bobbi! (Your piece looks great BTW.)
This is really lovely!
I'm just getting started on my TIF piece. . .slowly, but surely!
Love what you've done here, and Georgia O'Keefe is fabulous!
Great representation of her time in Texas. Most people only know her flowers. Good January TIF.
thanks, sue...let me know if rattail turned out to be what you needed...
thanks, barbara! There's a fine line between being energized by a deadline and being tyranized by one...and we are usually doing it to ourselves, which is the part that twists me! I get mad at myself and then I get mad that I'm getting mad...aaaarrrggghhh...is there no end to this learning how to do the dance of life! Other than death, of course...;(
thanks, meg...yes, I've been interested in her for many, many years and have read a lot about her life, as well as her wonderful work.
knowing when to stop is an important thing and I think you've made the right decision - it's just wonderful.
