I have no idea what I'm doing here, but it's sure fun...I did this yesterday while gallery sitting, so today I'm going to see about adding some other fabric or fibers to it...
The color in the photo is miles off, but I'll correct it next time...it's much warmer and deeper.

This is so interesting. It is so important to maintain a sense of playfulness in our creative process and in our lives. It is so easy for us to take things too darn seriously which can interfere with the natural flow of our work...Keep following the Spirit Cloth!
When Jude first opened up her what if-fing to others to play along I immediately jumped in. Since my first effort, however, I have not been back to do anything more. Trying not to feel guilty about it cuz that's just the way it goes sometimes...
thanks, camilla...yes, sometime we need reminding, eh?
I know it does, sue...I'm still dragging a tiny bit of guilt around from quitting the Take It Forward challenge...but it's almost all gone by now!
Fun...fun Bobbi! Looks to me like you know what you are doing! It's fun to hand stitch and embroider...with beads too! Good for you to play around!!! ;-)
this is great! keep going.
Have you added more to thie piece yet? I love the texture of it, the pleats in the top layer and all the stitches. What are the white rings? MOP? Looking forward to seeing more of this one!
I wanted to finish my bjp before getting back to this piece...and now I can...
yes, MOP, robin....I have a lot of them and use them often as shells are one of my favorite natural items to use in my bead/fiber work.
