August BJP

I'm a little late getting a start on this month's bead journal but I like what I've ended up with. It's very green in the garden right now, plus some of the flowers are still blooming and growing....the nasturtiums and the sweet peas especially, so I have some orange/yellow for the nasties and lavender/pink for the sweet peas. I'm still pondering the focal piece...maybe a mermaid or a newt-like critter...
I've got a couple of other piece to finish, so maybe I'll hold off for a few more days, or maybe I'll work on all three at once...

These fabric choses are beautiful. The middle fabric at the fingers looks like the sun shining through a cloudy sky. How appropriate for your recent weather!!

Nice start!!

Like the colors you have chosen, I love the pinks and lavenders of sweet peas, you are lucky they are still blooming-mine are long gone. Enjoy your week-end. Lorrie

I do admire you for being able to work on three things at once. When I'm knitting, I always have to finish something before I go on to something else. Same thing with books; I can only read one at a time!

I love Mary Oliver also, this poem is titled "One or Two Things" and is found in her New and Selected Poems volume one. Enjoy.
