Hi, Beadbabe,

what will be the measurements when the cover is finished? If your son already has a collection of your works, he can surely appreciate the many hours going into them. Somehow, the started piece reminds me of babes eating reluctantly: "One spoon for mummy, one spoon for daddy ..."

Lookin forward to seeing the finished product!

Many regards,
Sabine

Why must beadwork be so slow... Especially right angle weave! :/

Hi sabine...I'd tell you but this is a gift for my son and he reads my blog, so I'm holding off on photos and/or descriptions until it's finished and he has it...just wanted to post enough to show I am working on it!

hey lb...not complaining...I love slow!

I understand, Beadbabe, and will be patient. Very clever of you to post a photo that gives away just a little, but not too much!

Lone Beader, I am so glad that you said this about right angle weave, because so far I had been thinking the slowness comes from me being a beginner at this stitch. I had a very daunting experience in a right angle weave class in London/UK year before last, making each and every mistake possible, yet the teacher insisting my piece looked great. I just knew it was all wrong - and it was. I undid it all as soon as I got home and started over correctly. But I don't think RAW will ever become my favourite, though I like to look at pieces others made.
