Fall BJP Finished

I've finished my autumn bjp pieces....I'd spent the last couple of weeks not doing much beading due to teddy's passing and other issues and yesterday it felt like a dam broke and I just kept on going until the last two months were beaded and backed. They all have a plain black cotton back with a small sleeve at the top and I'm handing them from some old chopsticks I got at a garage sale.
The last piece (or first in blogger's reverse order) is november and it has a small gold cat charm sitting by a magenta stream with two small gold birdies watching him and being watched...and the name teddy, over the shell oval the stream is pouring out from. A couple of days before he died, teddy walked out to the little stream (runoff from the hills) in our back yard and sat in the sun in his favorite spot under one of the curly willows.
Now I can finished the blue piece and start a couple of pieces I promised to friends months ago....luckily my friends are all patient!

I love the new "style". Your textile choices are fabulous.
On a different note, I just want to say how sorry I am about Teddy's crossing. They are so much a part of our life, your tribute to him is so special.

Oh Bobbi!!! Look at what you've done! They're fabulous, especially November's piece. I know it's more special because it holds all your love for and connection with Teddy, but also I see that you're getting more comfortable with the relationship between manipulated fabrics and beads as you move along in the series. Are you finding the larger size daunting at all? I also contemplated going larger, but at the last minute decided not to change from last year. It will be exciting to watch how this develops for you. Also, I love your gem faire purchases... drool, drool, drool! Thanks for this wonderful post!

Hugs, Robin A.

As always Bobbi your work is so fascinating. I love just studying your designs. Its so hard to lose our pets, they are so like children.
For me my bead work is a way of healing so I am glad your back to beading.

Your pieces are lovely Bobbi. I so sympathise with you on your loss. After having almost lost my fur-baby last month, and now dealing with his kidney failure is devastating. I am so sorry you lost your baby. Your tribute to your beloved Teddy is beautiful!

Teddy will be watching you from Cat Heaven, knowing you remember him lovingly.

I like all your three pieces very much, indeed.

Best wishes,
Sabine

Exquisite work as always, Bobbi! Today is the second anniversary of our Sassy Cat's passing -- he was nineteen years old. He is still a part of our life in so many ways . . .

thank you all so much for your kind and understanding comments about teddy and the bjp pieces...your support has made this challenge a huge gift to me, both last year and this year...

robin, I think it's actually easier to do the fabric manipulation in the larger pieces...and I'm thinking of doing some larger yet...never thought I'd be going bigger...I'm usually just drawn to the miniature. New directions and inspiration are always exciting!

Beautiful pages. Did you explain somewhere what the coloured bands mean to you ? I find them very attractive.
