A Day of sharing words
Nothing Gold Can Stay by Robert Frost
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
and the photo is a painting by artist/friend Darrell Roberts (1938-2008)

Thanks, Bobbi - I've just spent a very rewarding afternoon reading all these great poems and feasting on all the art - what a wonderful idea.
What a wonderful idea! Beautiful painting, beautiful poem and tribute to Darrell. What a treasure to cherish from him...just lovely!
