This Weekend

The weekend has been all rain and wind, which tends to make me sluggish, so I am starting two more small pin/pendants...they don't take as much time as the larger pieces, so are easier to get going on.
Next week we're going to add a bit of weatherstripping to the porch and then see if the small space heater we bought will keep it warm enough to work out there until it gets really cold. I'd sure like to have the extra light to work by and with the end wall being all glass, I feel almost as though I'm working outside...

Edited to add: Since bloglines (which I used to follow blogs) is closing at the end of the month, I'm moving as many as I can to google follow, which is the one I have in my sidebar for following this blog.

Its important to have good light when one works, especially with the tiny bead work that you do. I hope your weather stripping works out so that you can stay nice and warm on your porch.

Cute little pins!
It would be bliss to have a spot like that to be in. But I am grateful just to be ABLE to bead.

I was wondering if you had seen the current issue of Creative Beading. One of your pieces is predominately showcased in the article.

Wishing you Good Beading and Good Weather!!
xx, Carol

You're so right, lorrie....and we don't usually get too cold until december/janaury...mostly just damp.

thanks, carol...don't think it can be my piece in creative beading...maybe something similar?

Sure looks like one of yours to me.

I agree with Carol and Arline, that's why I was writing...it definitely looks like one of your hands in Creative Beading - I think it's an Australian magazine. Maybe you can look it up online and see if they show pages. But it's there for sure, very nicely presented but - it does not have your name on it, I looked all over, so maybe someone else did submit it and didn't give you the credit for it.

thanks for the heads up...I've looked the magazine up and there is nothing online I can see...I'm going to borders later in the week so I'll see if they carry the it...it's nice to know I may have inspired someone, but attribution would be nice if it's one of my pieces...

You always have the best header photos :- )

I haven't had the energy to keep up with my more favorite bloggers lately... It looks like you've been doing some lovely work, as usual. I need to get back on track with my BJP ornaments.

thanks, sue...same here on the energy...I've got about 6 emails from friends I need to answer but just can't get around to it...sigh.
Lots of time left on the BJP, thank goodness!

Well you were all totally correct...thanks to arline for the scan of my piece in the creative beading magazine...and they do list it as mine, so I'm tickled!

I'm so glad to hear that Arline submitted your piece and of course, since Arline is one of the nicest people I know online, she gave your name. Wished I had looked more carefully...but it's pretty cool, huh?!
