One of our favorite outings, especially when we don't have a lot of time, is to drive across town to nye beach and watch the weather come in...it's amazing how fast it can change!
I've picked two photos showing how much it can change in just a few minutes...these two weren't taken on the same day but this kind of change is common at this time of year.

I find that very interesting about the weather. That means you always need an umbrella in the car for emergencies? I have friends in Arcata and they said that it snowed there. Now that is changeable weather.

oh pat...no one local uses umbrellas...the wind is too strong and makes them useless! We just wear rain gear (mine is a raincoat with a hood) and boots or tennies, if the rain isn't too heavy, lol!
If you don't like the North West weather...wait five minutes! It's so true, but we love it anyway. Your photos are really wonderful!
wow! i just love these photos. the storm clouds look so cool over the choppy ocean. you do such nice photography. always something interesting to look at!
