Faces
I've got a back and sleeve on my sept. bjp but haven't decided quite how to finish it yet...bead edge or blanket stitch or some such....in the meantime, I had these wonderful charlottes in a gorgeous green color that I thought were going to go on the bjp, but didn't....so I pulled out another face and just started beading. Not sure at all where she's going but I see a lot more seeds in her future!
And I finally got a decent shot of one of the great blue herons that nest in the big firs in our park...I wonder how they get along with the ospreys?

Aren't those faces fun?
I love the shot of the blue heron. I have a wonderful print of a heron done by an artist friend of mine. She does great wildlife prints.

Beautiful face and color Bobbi! And, way to go for working on the back of your bjp piece right away. I need to keep this in mind myself!
Great shot of the blue heron! We had one land in our yard last year and I about killed myself running for my camera to try and get a shot...and I did but only through the screen door because I knew if I opened it he would have flown away! They are so huge! That is so cool that they nest in the fir trees there!
Hope you have a good weekend...and stay cool!
Hugs~Lisa ;-)
thanks, maggie...
yeah, arline...I sure seem to be addicted to them!
thanks, lisa...I'm sitting at the vac down on the beach and it's foggy and cool and windy!
Who'd a thunk a bird that big would nest in a tree?!
I'm wondering whether you could use the triangle pockets I use on my journal quilts for the backs of your new BJP series. I like the application process better than putting on a sleeve but you could only put one piece on a rod at a time (whereas with a sleeve you could string a series of pieces on one rod if you wanted to). Let me know if you want more info.
