Two More and counting

Basho 37 and 38 are beaded...I will finish 39 and 40 and then do their backs...at that point I'll be down to the last 4...whew!

Those are great, Bobbi. I am green with envy at your batik stash.

Boy, Arline said it -- those batiks are fabulous! These pieces are so nicely done, Bobbi . . .

Man you never stop. You've got to love batiks! I'm sure if you don't there is something legally or genetically wrong. What else could it be? I mean really?

thanks!

yeah...batiks are almost all I have in my fabric stash...they remind me of watercolors, which I love!

here's my local store online...they do have a very nice batik collection and they keep their website pretty much up to date too...

Beautiful!!!

I was wondering if Basho #38 was driftwood...but in looking closer I am wondering if it is dried seaweed? I can't tell up close which it truly is. I love collecting driftwood, dried seaweed, shells, rocks...the more gnarly the better...the ones with pieces of sand, rocks, moss, lichen...are the best! I do have a problem with taking walks and looking down the majority of the time! ;-)

Just stunning and perfect with the batik cloth!

mary, I'm still smiling at your comment..;)

lisa, it is seaweed...or at least it's not wood unless it's a very small root of something....now I'll have to ask my resident nature expert (also known as friend cheri) if she knows what it is!

They just get better and better. I really can't wait to see the whole lot of them together. What a grand enterprise this has been - and it's been wonderful, following the progress. Magical how the figure floats on that one piece...Just love these.
