Yes and No

I made two pieces this week...one works for me and one doesn't...but it's good to be working again.

Don't know which one is the yes and which is the no, but I like them both. I can't get in close enough to see what's under the face. I love the frame. Reminds me of garden gates. I like the medalion also. Its a very ethnic piece.

Glad you're feeling better.

hi carol...there's a shell with a hole in it and a pearl in the hole, under the face...I think the piece needs more curvy lines though and fewer straight ones...

I'm not sure you could get more curving lines in the shrine piece at this point without cluttering it up. It's not like it's awful after all!

The medallion (I assume a pin/pendant?) is lovely. The lavender color I'm seeing it in was one of my mother's favorite colors.

hi sue...no, I'd start over on the shrine piece...you're right that trying to fix the current piece would not work well...

I still have not made a shrine. I want to but haven't found quite what I'd like to do with one yet. I like the pin too. It looks like a shield to me, a mandala type shield.

I love both of them! The pin/pendant is gorgeous and I love the face watching over the shell. The frame for the shrine is a lovely piece. I agree with Carol, it does remind me of garden gates too.

Are you going to restitch it with more curves? I would love to see it if you do!
