Contemplation
I've been contemplating light and color and realizing that both put me in a state of contemplation.
And when I put them together in a piece, whether it's a piece of jewelry or a wall piece or a guardian spirit, each stitch becomes a tiny meditation and each finished piece my form of contemplation.
I have the same feeling when I'm by the water, whether it's a small stream or the ocean, and it brings great peace to my heart.
May the blessings of contemplation be yours this Mother's Day.

I read this:
I've been contemplating light and color and realizing that both put me in a state of contemplation.
and I felt that facial expression that you do when you kinda snicker. Then I read on and I knew exactly what you meant. Its exactly how I feel when I am beading a BJP.
I feel that way when I am around water also. Even sitting by out frog pond, hearing the water trickle from one end to the other is relaxing.
Aren't we lucky that we have the experience and are able to enjoy it.
I love this perspective, its just irresistible.
Color always moves me in some way. Nothing like it. I love them both.
Great Mother's Day wish, Bobbi~ Thank you! Robin A.
Hope you had a great day. I love this picture.
Water is the path to my soul. I need to see it, smell it, feel it and hear it in order to feel at peace. I love the way you have the pictures side by side.

You said it so beautifully and it is so true, Bobbi! Every stitch, water, the moon, the sky...a fire...do the same for me.
May the blessings of contemplation be yours every single day my friend!
XOXO ~me
Water has that effect on me too. At the beach, next to a stream I want to be quiet and contemplative. Working, creating art is my meditation.
Beautiful photographs.
Thanks for all the kind comments...I know water is a contemplative medium for many of us...thank goodness there's so much of it around...
