Day of the Dead

I spent this beautiful sunny day thinking about dear friends and family who have passed on...and giving thanks for their presence in my life.

Its funny that some people don't know of this holiday. I love the thought of celebrating the lives of those that have passed.

As I get older, I miss my friends that are gone now. I have a bulletin board in "my room" and have tacked up their pics. I have selected pics of a day when we were especially having fun together...a day on the sailboat... a Halloween party in costume. Even a glance at the board takes me back to the occasion and my friends are brought back to mind. I guess its a shrine, of sorts.

It is wonderful to hold up and celebrate the love you have for these people, even though they have passed on. I didn't spend the whole day with that on my consciousness, but I should have.
Wonderful photo, very apt in its crispness. It really illustrates the dividing line.

Yes, the veil lifts for the day and I also invited back for a visit all those, especially my parents, and enjoyed their presence.

I love your cat. I am very fond of the B&W's.

Also, that photo of your husband is wonderful. Very handsome. Happy belated to him.

I also made that and I really thank God because He made the way why I met those friends and relatives who have passed on.
