October
O, here comes October...cool mornings and nights with some lovely sunny afternoons and early evenings. I saw the moon come up last night over the firs that cover our hills here in the park and I woke up early this morning and watched it go down from our bedroom window. Now I'm waiting for the sun to come up over the firs...since they're on a hill above us, the sky gets light long before my little studio window actually sees any rays. But it looks like another week of indian summer for us...

Yes indeed. Sunny all week. And it is my fault that I am to stay inside because Saturday a friend came to visit and moi, who should know much better, talked and talked and visited and visited and ended in bed again and with doctors hovering and telling me no more visitors.
So I guess I will make the felted card pouch for Ricë and try to be quiet. Your photos are gorgeous as always.
You are like so many other that enjoy this time of year. It's been odd weather in Northern Indiana. No summer to speak of and now its also an abnormally cool fall so far. We can only guess what the winter will be. I personally think it will be mild based on my squirrels, who have just returned from the woods.
Have a great day.
xx, Carol
Always enjoy your lovely photos and narratives. Hope you will have a lovely sunny day -- it is again sunny and crispy cool here :-)
I've started hearing the geese flying overhead again up here. Soon the swans will be back to spend the winter here in the fallow fields. Time to get out the winter quilts!
oh, allegra...so sorry to hear that!
yeah, carol...I'm not much for winter anymore but I do like an indian summer when we get one!
thanks jackie...so far, so good!
here too, sue...always reminds me of the song, Who Knows Where the Time Goes, when I hear the geese in the fall.
Just returned from the retreat at Tahoe. It was beautiful weather. We even got a bit of snow. At least the Valley is not still scorching hot. I hope we have a bit more of this kind of weather before winter sets in.

We have been so blessed with such a beautiful Indian Summer. Fall this year has been unbelievable. XO ~me
P.S. I think it's part of the reason why time keeps escaping me lately. I can't believe Thanksgiving is around the corner already!?!! XO
