Beachcombing

Went up to one of our local beaches and picked up some smooth beach rocks....wish you could touch them...they are sooo smooth to the touch...
I'm working on some ideas for using them but also looking for some other shaped ones, so will be doing some more beachcombing tomorrow at some beaches further south...

I would love to live at the ocean and be able to have a walk there whenever I want.
Have fun doing your search!

Oh I miss the water so much. I grew up in Florida and lived for several years on the Gulf Coast in Sarasota.
I so loved just walking on the beach. At that time beading wasn't really big, but I did a lot of macramé.I use to pick up the shells and take them home my ex would drill holes in them and I would turn them into jewelry. But the best part was just being near the water. You are so lucky to be able to do that. I love Albuquerque, now if we could just move it close to some large body of water. But then it wouldn't the beautiful desert it is.

hi...well, I was raised in the pacific northwest and have always had some body of salt water near...puget sound as a kid and now the ocean...
the desert is beautiful, but I don't think I could live there for long...I'd dry up and roll away! LOL!

Well I can't say I don't get dry skin. I do, I use lots and lots of lotion. But the desert is such a beautiful place. I would miss it now if I wasn't here. I just have to figure out a way to pull them closer together.
BTW, I love those stones you picked up, they are so interesting. What are you going to do with them?
