Totems

Totem animals
are being discussed on robin atkin's bead blog, beadlust, and it reminded me of one of my earlier bead embroidery pieces...it was a study in mostly whites and it had a small MOP button and bear and I called it, Land of the Midnight Sun or Polar Bear's Journey...robin also did a post on polar bears which is what brought this to mind in the first place...now I've dug it out I think I'll see if it can finally be finished!

Oh yes! Thanks for showing this piece... it both flows and has solidity like the ice. I love it!

This is one gorgeous piece. Like the first snow of winter it is fresh, clean, sparkling and takes your breath away. Luv it!

Good Grief! You are constantly pulling out these not-quite-finished marvels!
I love the still awakeness of the whites.

thank you...thank you...thank you!

lol...the reason for that lj, is that I fell in love with bead embroidery before I knew what exactly to do with it! I had robin's first book, one bead at a time, so I thought I might make the bear piece part of the front cover of a book...but, I've never gotten around to making the book...or whatever else I might have had in mind waaay back then....sooooo, I've got quite a few pieces that are in search of a function, I guess!
