It's been quite a few days...between the pow wow on friday, beaders' gathering and lunch on saturday, short visit from son & girlfriend on sunday, wonderful surprise visit from friends on monday along with blueberry picking in the morning...we've been having fun!
I also managed to get a few pieces beaded for a bracelet and I'm working on another abalone piece this afternoon...I'm hoping I've turned a corner here and can get back to getting at least a bit of beading done every day again, as I used to!
I also got two pairs of earrings done this last week...I collect hands and they often end up in my own earrings and this week I found some metal ones in silver and copper I liked and a couple of stone ones that are unlike any I've seen before...brings my hand earring collection up to around 9 pair, I think...and an added good note-heard our friend who had major surgery will be going home in a day or two...absolutely amazing! One week and he's home again...ain't modern medicine grand!

Glad you are getting back on the beadin' path, Bobbi.
I LOVE the lavender and green pieces -- they are fantastic.
Those hands are pretty cool, especially the ones that include a bit of forearm! Really like what you did for your Aug. BJP too. Glad to hear you've maybe turned a corner. I feel like I may have done the same...
Love those geometric pieces. Happy to hear you're back to beading 'regularly' again. That means that bracelet should be done, like, now?? Not that I'm impatient or anything......:)
The hands on the right look like that symbol for good luck, where the thumb is between the index and middle finger? Really like the stones. Quite stunning.
Your weekend sounds wonderful.
Nifty projects, Bobbi!

I love the seedbead parts. I see the abalone you used with the pearls here. Yes, modern medicine is grand. My husband came home the third day after a quadruple bypass. Then he did too much and it took months to heal his overdoing it! In medicine one thing leads to another and they advance so quickly in what they can do.
Sweetie...looks like you've turned the corner to me! Love all the pictures and sounds like you've been busy and having fun! Glad to hear your friend is doing well...modern medicine is amazing. XOXO
