I'm working on the abalone button...lots of freshwater pearls too and the new metallic finish charlottes...they're just lovely to work with.

Your metallic charlottes aren't rubbing off as you use them? I had some metallic seedbeads that rubbed off right away and I am afraid to get more. What brand are they?
This looks really nice. I love the way you added the pearls.
I've had problems with other metallics too, timaree, but I understand these have a special coating that's supposed to take care of the problem...only time will tell for sure, but this piece is going to be added to a wall piece, not going into jewelry, so that will help since it won't be rubbing on anything regularly.
This is absolutely exquisite. You know, making something this wonderful should make you feel like you're making the world more beautiful. I love your blog and your pieces.
