April BJP and May Sale

I've been looking at this month's bjp and haven't been able to see anything else to add to it, so I guess I'll declare it finished.
The face and blue leaves represent both flower and sun this month....the three birds are freedom and wildness....my hand is reaching for the freedom the birds have in living moment to moment without thought for tomorrow or next year....I'm trying very hard to do the same....enjoy and celebrate the joys of each day without too much dwelling on tomorrow.

Also decided to have a 25% off Mother's Day Sale of all the items in my Etsy shop....the link to it is on the left sidebar. The sale runs from this friday, the 1st through Mother's Day which is the 10th this year.

I really like this piece. This is a very good way to live-it does take an incredible amount of practice and discipline though doesnt it? I love the birds in flight. Juie C

Your piece really represents the thoughts you portrayed. The blue is calming. I wonder if that was on purpose or subconscience. Its not easy living in the moment. I don't think I have ever been able to. The best I get is taking one day at a time. Not really living in the moment, but dealing with each day as it comes is ok. I MUST be in control. LOL

Hi Bobbi!

I love your April BJP piece. The blue is very refreshing. I particularly love your fingernails!!! They remind me of when I was a teenager...always painting my nails blue or green.

Grab that freedom and add a pinch of wildness. I will do the same!

I spent time with Robin Atkins this weekend in Denver. One of the evenings, she presented on the BJP. I saw some of your wonderful pieces!

Much love to you.

Living in the moment is what we all should be striving for. It's hard to focus on each moment. I remember a book from the 70's I think. It was called Pray All Ways and was a play on Pray Always. Basically he was saying if we live consciously in each moment then each moment becomes a prayer. I liked that idea even if I haven't lived it very well.

We had some birds nesting (trying to at any rate) inside our carport. My husband turned it into a closed garage. Those birds squawked like crazy for a few hours but now they seem to have moved on. Moral of the story: Go ahead and squawk when you need to, just don't let yourself stay there.

I love this page and all that it symbolizes. It is really beautiful, Bobbi...very serene! The blue is such a lovely shade and it reminds me of the sky...even the stunning sky and fruit tree photo you took...that same blue. The birds, the branches on the fabric, the flower and sun and your hand reaching are perfect. Keep reaching for the freedom to live in the moment...we all should.

I know it isn't easy to do. For me, and as the years go by, I'm learning to live in the moment more and more. I know in my heart that is what is most important. If we worry about tomorrow, then tomorrow will arrive and we will have lost yesterday. I have lost many yesterdays over fear and worry. Time doesn't stop for anyone, so we need to make each moment count and "enjoy and celebrate the joys of each day" as you say.

Embrace all the precious moments of today, dear friend...~me

Catching up today... BJP blog posts mostly, but have read all the way back to my previous read on your blog. I admire your chipper spirits and appreciate your Mother's Day wish for everyone!

This April piece is just perfect... doensn't need one more bead... It's great to be reminded of freedom, wildness and living in the moment in this poignant way!

Good for you to use your hoarded, special things... I'm doing that too and it feels good... like I and my work are at last worthy...

Big WA hugs, Robin A.

I love the face, the sentiment and the colour blue. It's amazing how much you can express with so few beads. Excellent choices!
