BJP

I've got the backs and hinges on the bjp pieces and just have to cut down the dowels tomorrow...a friend is also giving me some black bamboo pieces and if I like them better then I'll use them instead of the dowels...if not, I may paint the dowels black and see how that looks....still, it's almost finished!

thanks arline and kathy! I'm going to be framing pieces for the next few days so will hopefully have some photos of most of the show while it's still here in the studio.

Oh my! Your hinges look splendid! What a lot of work (but well worth it)this BJP finishing is, eh?!

Speaking from experience... I once made a beaded/quilted hanging vessel which was supported in a 4-legged stand. For the legs I used heavy-duty barB-Q skewers. Whenever I looked at the piece, all I saw was those dang skewers, until fianlly I got the idea to "dye" them with walnut ink. They look much better now, but what I really wish is that I had painted the skewers before assembling the whole thing. So, you can guess that I'm rooting for you to get out the paint!

They are going to be awesome! Hugs, Robin

thanks robin! yes...I'd definitely paint them FIRST and then assemble them!
Also a big thank you for the beading thread knot tutorial on your website! I was doing a lot of knotting of thread a couple of days ago and I remembered the tutorial and looked it up and the whole process of hand sewing sure went a lot faster with that knot!

Beading Babe you have been Sooooo busy. I am really impressed with all the art you have produced. I really like how you are going to display your BJP. I would never have thought of that and it looks like it is going to help your pages from crushing each other.

Keep Beading.
