Your little orange face looks like a cute little Native Amercian:)

And, where do you get archival paper & glue?? I didn't know there was such a thing.....I know about acid free paper, is it the same thing??

Stunningly gorgeous! Wowies!

yes...archival means acid free, so the paper or glue doesn't eventually disintegrate the thread or fabric...probably take forever to hurt the beads themselves...if you frame the pieces, you'd also want to use archival matt board and tape...dick blick has archival stuff and so should most other art supply places...

thanks, sarebear!

oh...and there's also Terrifically Tacky acid free double sided tape...that's what I use to tack my cabs done on the fabric I bead on and also use it to tack the finished cab to the ultrasuede backing before I edge the piece.

BB! Mold alert! Have you seen these???
Sorry...I got so excited I just had to sent the URL.

yes...I have seen her molds...they're very cool! I'm also considering just getting the silicon moldmaking compound itself and making my own.

Always delightful to check out your blog and see the wonderful new additions. Love all the faces -- and the gift for your Mom is gorgeous. I made a trip to the bead shop in Chicago this morning -- and they still had some great beads at $1.00 a tube so my stash is growing. Of course had to pick up a few other things --- OF COURSE -- LOL.
Have a great weekend, BB and all.

hi, bg! yes...a buck a tube is a great price beads! Our local vintage guy is closing and he's got a lot of $1 bags of bits and pieces and I couldn't resist...LOL!

I'm very happy with what I have found -- just wish I could find some unusual small pieces -- ah well, some day -- a while back someone was offering beading kits with bead's to die for in -- but the kit was too costly for the few unusual beads --- ah well, some day -- think I said that already LOL. I don't know of any in my area that have antique beads.

bg...email me...I'm not sure what you mean by unusual small pieces but I have some good sources of unsual vintage stuff and they don't charge an arm and a leg...

Good work! You've been prolific, and I'm sure they'll do very well, keeping you in funds while you recover from CT surgeries. Back to back... wow! You are brave. My brother (quilter/beader) got both done (a year or so apart), and is now totally back in business... a happy stitcher, as I hope YOU will be too.

thanks, robin! the recommendation was for them to be 2 months apart...but, they're both painful at times, so I was afraid the second one would actually have nerve damage if I waited longer...glad to hear your brother is ok...I really like his work too, especially the fish bag he made!
