Playtime

Experimentals
I saw a few classes at the Beadfest website that looked interesting but I can't go there so I set myself a challenge...how close could I get to what I see without instructions and only going by the photos? It's been fun experimenting....most of them took more than one try before I got close! and of course, unless I changed them substantially, I won't be selling them....these are just playtimes for me...
I also designed a couple of new business cards for my jewelry biz...
And the cuff is coming along....I'm already liking this one much more than the last one which means to me that I'm learning as I go...

Nice "playtime" toys you got there, B.B. I like to do that as well, see if I can closely replicate something I've seen, without patterns or tutes... Isn't it nice to know you can figure it out? I really dig that 'dragonfly' thingie (?), especially the colors. I'd need a closeup of that yellow piece to break it down tho, LOL!
Thanks for sharing.

hi, jewels! the yellow piece is right angle weave...not as popular a stitch as some of the simpler ones!

Is it 3-dimensional R.A.W.? I think I can make out 3 sides, am I right?
R.A.W. was actually the second off-loom beadweaving technique I learned.
I've been making a list of all the techniques I've amassed in the 26 years of my 'beady' life. My DH was looking over my shoulder as I was doing it, and he said: "Man, I didn't know that there were so many beading techniques..." LOL!!!

hi, jewels! it's actually tubular RAW...I'm beading around a very small flexible tube...
