I do think the lid was worth the extra effort....and I especially like the tiny golden hummingbird bead that's the finial....

This is truly gorgeous ! I specially relate to it as "Colibri" is the French word for hummingbird.

I did get a little bit excited about this one as I was finishing it, so I stayed up late to do it....I'm a morning person, so that was unusual for me.
Oh yes, definitely worth staying up to finish! (Although, if it had been me I would have screwed it up at some point after my bedtime.)
I especially like the hummingbird finial. Gorgeous little box.

denise, I'm using nymo D, and yes, it was important to keep the tension pretty tight...
