Fresh Greens...

I am seeing new green shoots on the kiwi, the japanese maple, the lilac, the willows...every day new greens and that goes for inside too (metaphorically speaking). As I clear out the magazines, the books, the old clothes, I feel lighter, greener, fresher...heading for that invincible summer a friend quotes on her blog...may you all feel it too.

Renewal for the earth and isn't that what the radiation is supposed to do for you?

I'm in California right now so my husband called me this morning to let me know we had 2-3 inches of wet snow last night bending tree branches waaay down. We never get snow this late in the spring! He found it rather exciting and it won't stick around once the sun comes up so I hope there won't be damage to all the new leaves that have sprouted.

I am so happy you feel yourself coming back from the long road and I can see you too with the eyes of friendship.

The garden was doing fine until a
D^&%$##!!! mole dug a tunnel (I will post photos tomorrow) going through 4 inches of draining gravel and a great material we bought from a nursery supply place plus 4 feet of wonderful soil like it was J-ello. Chicken wire will be bought tomorrow and we will have to take all the soil out and staple the wire to the inside of the beds. Another unexpected detour in the garden...sigh.

You know I am an animal lover but from mosquitos to moles I certainly could to without. The good part? I was going to plant the tomatoes and put the covers over but I got too tired so I thought it would be better to wait. Wise decision. I wouldn't have found a single tomato today.

Hugs from here, your candle is still on and it will be until we hear the great news.

Thanks for hanging in here...it helps to know a few others are burning the candle too and keeping watch along with me.

I am trying to get my tomato patch ready but Spring Fever hasn't hit me yet. So happy to hear your strong voice.

Spring is certainly here.
I was in Oregon once and recall a lot of ferns in the underbrush.
Very pretty.

Been thinking about you all week, Bobbi. I know you finished your radiation treatments a while back. How are you feeling now?

Did you ever figure out how to get that change made to your blogger email address?

Blogger has been frustrating for me too... The older templates, such as I use, have so many formatting problems. I was tearing my hair out trying to get posts to look half way decent. Somebody suggested I try a different browser (NOT Internet Explorer) so I started using Firefox, which is a great improvement.

You're probably having a chilly spring just as we are. Hope your "invincible summer" is right around the corner.

((((((( hugs )))))))

hi robin...I'm feeling better every day....unfortunately I've not been able to resolve my issues with blogger so haven't been able to post here at all.
The last few days have been sunny but the breeze is still too cool for summer...hopefully it will warm up a bit next month!
hugs back to you...
