This is great. I love your use of the faces too. And the color way on this one, one of my favorites! I have two questions for you, one is are you using faces on all of your pages? And the other is what type of camera do you use? Your comment on you recent bead bezeled abalone disk made my think to ask. And that is great by the way. I see hints of purple, gold, and maybe turquoise in it. Looks like the color of the beads on the bezel are a great match. I also ask about the camera as I am really wanting a full size SLR digital since starting this project. I have always loved photography and have taken pictures as far back as I can remember. I have a mini-Canon now which is great, but I am really wanting that full size Nikon!
hi nancy! yes...I'm using faces on all my pages...the first four are on the flickr BJP site, if you'd like to see them all.... I'm using two cameras, but the one I use the most on my blog photos is a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ7...I also have a tiny Casio exilim EX-Z4U that I carry with me all the time for snapshots and some of my landscapes. Neither one is a digital SLR...can't afford one of those yet!
Bobbi, I was still blogging, so I came back to see if you happened to be too. Your pages look great together, so now I have two more questions, do you know how you are going to mount them and where are your faces from?
Also, I checked your web page along with your Flickr page. I love your work.
I'm not absolutely sure but I think they're going to be mounted to ultrasuede or leather and then put into book form....I have a 4-ring binder that is the right size and the covers can be fabric embellished to match the BJP pages....
Faces are from all over...a couple are from commercial molds by maureen carlson, one is a ceramic face from a friend of mine and the last three are from a mold I made from a bone face cab and one is an original face I sculpted.
I love the vibrant colorway you chose for this page. The feeling is one of serenity and peacefulness. My eye is especially drawn to the face at the top. I like the way you draped the beads over the lower portion of her face. She looks very mysterious. Gorgeous job! -Karen
hi lb! yeah...the leaves are beginning to turn here and the heat wave we're having will probably speed up the process! hi karen...thanks! hi rachel...I've gotten really fond of the these tiny toho bugles...they're not sharp like the czech beads either, but I like the way they look with beads on both ends... hi denise...I'm still going strong but winter is my slow time so I expect the nov thru feb ones to be harder to gear up for! Hve you posted yours on the flickr site yet?
Hi, Bobbi -- Don't know how I missed your posting of this page but I am glad I checked into your blog and found it. It is marvelous! Your use of faces has been fun to see.
This is GREAT, BB. Love the colors and the leaves are so timely for Sept. I am so far behind, but now that school has started my "Grandma" thing will slow down. AND, over night our weather has changed drastically -- it now feels like fall -- my favorite time of year ;-)
All that said, this is another lovely piece -- it is always a joy to come to your blog.

Its beautiful. What made you decide to use faces in all of your pages?
hi violette....the faces always get my creative energy going...so when robin says take a bead you love and just start, I'm thinking of faces.
I love the addition of the gold leaves:)

I really like the bugle beads in this piece. I love bugle beads, but use them so rarely. I love visiting your blog.
Wow! This looks great! I love the gold leaves! My september has stalled, my August needs a bit more. I'll try to blog tomorrow!
cheers, Denise
