July BJP Done

The July BJP page is done...good thing as I've been neglecting the Basho series....better get back to work on that one!
The red squares are some Czech glass pieces I got years ago...they're not nailheads since they have a hole in the middle from top to bottom....and I don't actually know if they've got a special name....if anyone does know, I'd love to hear from you!
The tag on them is "made in czecho-slovakia", with the hyphen, so they're pre-WWII anyway. And that's all I know about them.

This piece is just wonderful! I love the colors and the rhythymic movement of the beads. And that fabric is awesome, too!

Two Peas in a Pod!! That's what I saw when I came to your blog today. It may not be that but peas are gardeny aren't they? It looks wonderful.

I had a few minutes this morning and took another look at your great piece. Freebird said she saw two peas in a pod --- I saw a fish -- maybe my eyes were blurry from the sun and heat and working in the yard, but yes, definately a fish diving toward the bottom.

One of the most rewarding aspects of doing these pages in such a large group are the diverse comments we're all getting...I didn't see the face singing until sunni commented on it...didn't see the two peas in a pod until freebird mentioned it and didn't see a fish diving until you mentioned it, jackie...and yet, now I see it all through your eyes as well as mine and it's added a depth to the experience you just don't get while beading alone in the studio!
Thank you all so much for allowing me to see my work through your eyes...

Another wonderful page!!!!! This one seems to be about two people who are together spiritually or through a heart connection, yet physically divided ~ at least that's what I see in it. It's not sad, yet there's something poignant about it for me.

I can solve the mystery of the red squares ~ they are made for rings ~ as "stones" to be set in a ring. The hole is for mounting a crystal (fake diamond) with glue. I've seen many of them in many different shapes during my wanderings in the Czech Republic.

If you'd consider selling or trading a strand of them with me, I'd be HAPPY indeed!

Oh, if you're sharing those wonderful red squares I want in on the action! Name your price! (Well, within reason... budgets are for breaking, right?)

thanks, sunni...I visited and left a comment on your blog...

thanks, diane...that's a hard question to answer since sometimes I stop and it's done and sometimes I just think it's done and it tells me otherwise! So, I guess when it finally feels like if I add more it will be too much...that's when I quit...not much use, but I can't explain it any better. Maybe someone else could tackle that question?
hi, sue...sorry, but I don't sell my beads...I'll do the occasional trade, but I have a limited amount of the squares and robin asked first. I sent you an email with a link to a gal who sells on ebay and has the most interesting 'stuff' I've ever seen...she's not cheap, but if you only need a few of something, she's certainly affordable. Let me know if you like her beads, will you?
