Vintage Sequins
Earrings
I've been collecting vintage french and belgian sequins for years but I don't use them a lot since sequins are so disdained in the "art" world...but a friend gave me a few of hers and I went back through mine and have started a series of mixed media earrings...fiber, glass, sequins...here's a few, including one that isn't quite done yet...

Those are gorgeous!! What are the measurements??
thanks!...the long ones are 2.5" and the round ones are 1.25" diameter...
hi, lj! I think the older sequins...pre WWII...were made of galatin coated with silver...the later ones are all variations of plastic. The galatin ones will last if they're not exposed to sun or water, the plastic ones will curl eventually...at least that's what I'm reading...
Excellent, love it! » » »
